With over 50 years of hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry, Scott Emerson brings deep knowledge and steady leadership to every corner of the business—from drilling and production to refining and oilfield services. For the past 20 years, Scott has focused on the fiberglass sucker rod market, helping drive innovation and reliability as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Superod Inc.

Although he’s a relatively new Director of the Permian Basin International Oil Show, Scott Emerson has long been making a difference in the industry. Even before joining the PBIOS board, Scott and his team at Superod were already well-known at the show for their signature sucker rod “walking sticks”—handcrafted collectibles sold from their coliseum booth that have become a popular tradition among attendees. The proceeds—typically $15,000 to $20,000—are donated to a cause selected by the company. For the 2025 Oil Show, both the walking sticks and the cause share a meaningful connection: students from Pathway Academy are assembling the sticks, and the school will also be this year’s donation recipient.

Across the Permian Basin, Scott is known as a tireless supporter of the energy community. He organizes and hosts eight clay shoots annually to raise funds and awareness for industry associations and local causes. His commitment to service extends even further—he currently serves on 13 nonprofit boards throughout the region, championing initiatives that strengthen both the industry and the communities that support it.

Scott is also a vocal advocate for property tax reform, lending his voice and influence to efforts aimed at creating a fairer tax environment for Texas property owners.

Beyond his industry work, Scott is also a seasoned entrepreneur with business ventures in Big Spring, TX, including a convenience store and a stake in a local radio station. He is a proud husband, father of three sons, and grandfather to two grandchildren.
